For Individual Runners

  1. Participants of all ages and in good physical condition are welcome to join the event.
  2. Interested participants may avail of the online preregistration here: or obtain a registration form at the Center for International Studies at Benton Hall. Forms are also available at the tambayans (organization home) of the UP Anime and Manga Enthusiasts (UP AME) <Kubo #2 FC Tambayan Complex>, UP Red Cross Youth (UP RCY) at Benton Hall and at the UP Philippines-Japan Friendship Club (UP Tomo-Kai) <Vinzon's Hall Tambayan Complex>
  3. Preregistration is until July 15, 2011. Walk-in registrants will also be accomodated on the day of the event.
  4. Participants are required to submit the following during registration:

a) Registration form (For walk-in participants only). Those who have pre-registered will only need to confirm their attendance.
 b) 200PHP (per person) which entitles the runner to one lap (2.2 kms) around the UP Diliman Academic Oval and a race kit consisting of a sports drink, a baller and a bib. An additional 200 PHP shall be charged for every succeeding lap.

 5. Runners can also take advantage of our special packages should they wish to run more laps:

a) A pledge of 500 PHP entitles the runner to 3 laps (6.6 kms) around the oval, along with the race kit as well as a complimentary singlet.
b) A pledge of 700 PHP entitles the runner to 5 laps (11 kms) around the oval, along with the race kit and the complimentary singlet.

 6. Pre-registered runners may pay their registration fee/pledge at the CIS Office or to any TPSJ steering committee member. 
 7. For those running under the banner of an organization, please refer to the mechanics for participating organizations.

For Participating Organizations

  1. The event is open to all organizations, fraternities and sororities within and outside the University.
  2. Interested organizations may sign up at or contact any of the resource persons from the finance committee on or before July 15, 2011.
  3. To be recognized as a participating organization, it must meet the following requirements:

    a. Pre-registration of a minimum of twenty (20) runners.
    b. A minimum of 4000 PHP worth of pledges on or before July 19, 2011 to be submitted to the  CIS office or to any of the event contact persons. (Failure to do so will result to the dropping of the organization from the official event list.)

  4. Participating organizations are to collect all pledge sheets and pledges from their runners and submit them during the day of registration. Runners need not be members of the organization but may run in behalf of the organization.
  5. Participating organizations are entitled to: (1) Logo placement on the TPSJ website, (2) display of their organization banners, (3) advertising (e.g. live plugging) and (4) program participation (e.g. performance) in the event. 
  6. The activity can be considered a socio-civic project or community service of the organization. 
  7. The organization to raise the highest amount of pledges and the largest number of runners fielded will receive a certificate of recognition on the day of the event.
